Materials List

  • Two ear wires
  • Two eye pins
  • Two glass beads
  • Two small spacer beads
  • Ten 1-inch pieces of chain (12-13 links per inch)
  • Round nose pliers
  • Chain nose pliers
  • Wire cutters

  1. Slide spacer bead onto eye pin; then slide on a glass bead. Use round nose and chain nose pliers to make the beginning of a loop. (Make loop slightly larger than normal, about 3/8-inch from tips of round nose pliers.)

  2. Slide end link of each of five 1-inch lengths of chain onto the loop. Close the loop and make one or two wraps. Cut off excess wire, tucking in end with pliers as necessary.

  3. Open eye of ear wire and slide on top loop of the eye pin. Close ear wire. Repeat for the second earring.

Gorgeous, easy, fun and not very expensive . And since I make jewelry, it gives me a way to use up my left over chains. I can see this with silver colored hooks and chains and some blue beads. I can use a pair of blue earrings too. Then there's that box in my closet for make ahead Christmas gifts. A couple pair of these would be nice. Craft stores also carry aluminum chain in colors like pink, Aqua, black , so go wild.

Another great video for us beginners. I love the tassel and chain look on earrings and have made an all chain one but I love this on with the tassel. If I had not watched this I would have never realized the great way she attached the tassel all together . Did not realize this is so easy. Thanks. Anyone make these yet?
