Chainmaille isn't traditionally thought of as the most feminine of jewelry-making techniques, but the Japanese 12-in-2 Bracelet and Ring completely turns that stereotype on its head. With this tutorial, you'll learn how to make chainmaille jewelry that resembles beautiful flowers, all by weaving together jump rings. The popular Japanese 12-in-2 weave is used to perfection in this elegant chainmaille jewelry set, creating a lovely, uniform symmetry in each jump ring blossom. Once you make the DIY bracelet and handmade ring, you might just be tempted to create matching earrings and a pendant too!

Now this is a great chain mail tutorial. It's very easy to follow. Everything is explained and understandable. I really appreciate the designers care in offering it so even I can do it. Some other tutorials are very confusing. I gave up on a lot of them. But this one will work. Thanks

Absolutely stunning! Cannot wait to make this set.

i really like the japanese chain this is some thing i will be working on today i like the colors a lot.

I made this bracelet in copper and sliver, everyone loves it, working on copper and gold now

This project is so beautiful I nearly started crying.

Thank you, I love it.

This is wonderful! Are there any written instructions? Cause I don't know when I'll be able to buy all the jump rings for this project and I don't want the video to end up expiring. Thank you for such a wonderful pattern!

Hi dtjblau 9224484! I'm sorry, we do not have written instructions for this tutorial. However, we do have a similar tutorial that you might like to check out: http://www.allfreejewelrymaking.com/Chain-Earrings/Japanese-Flower-Earrings . Hope this helps! --Editors of AllFreeJewelryMaking

Here are the written instructions for the ring. I'm sure the bracelet is also on this website. http://www.beadaholique.com/t-ba-project-R111.aspx

Absolutely fabulous! I can't wait to get the supplies. I think I will make a pendant to match.

Great idea! Post a picture on our Facebook page if you do; we'd love to see it! :) http://www.facebook.com/allfreebeadedjewelry --Editor of AllFreeBeadedJewelry

Actually the link provided is the video, too. I doubt it will expire though. It does have a package that includes all the jumprings which would probably make more than just the ring for about 7 bucks. I've made the pendant at a local Indian store that had a free class sponsored by Beadaholique, it took me about half an hour but I pick things up pretty quick. Love the ring, though
