Beautifully done necklace and such a great idea to use as the bridesmaids gift also. The necklace and earrings both look so elegant and professional. This would also work, I think, for prom or any other formal / dressy occasion. I want to make a few of these as gifts. Thanks for sharing.

I don't know why people automatically assign pearls to a wedding. I haven't seen a bride wearing them in ages. But I do see pearls being worn by upscale ladies in town. Thus is great for a younger lady who thinks pearls are just for Aunt Ruth. The crystal makes it more styled towards anyone who wants to sparkle.

I was curious as to the reason why pearls were associated with weddings after you brought that up and had to Google it. A controversial wedding myth is wearing pearls. It says that wearing pearls on your wedding day take the place of the bride's real tears, thus she'll have a happy, tear-free wedding. while others say that it represents future tears and heartache on the marriage.

Such a pretty and clever design! Pairing the elegant with the sparkle! With modification, you could actually get three looks from one project... As shown with both strands, or one or the other alone! This would be pretty done in some color as well, and you could adjust the length to,suit your dress neckline shape and depth. Thanks for sharing! So pretty!
