This is very pretty and very easy to make. But yes it will tarnish. The salt after will wear off the plating. I also can't wear plated jewelry of any kind. It urns my kin green and I break out in blisters. Just make sure the person you are making it for is not allergic to certain metals.

Hi mulberrygalprinces s, you may be thinking of gold-plated jewelry. This anklet is made with gold-filled chain and findings, which is much more durable. While it is still possible for gold-filled jewelry to tarnish, it is much less likely than with plated jewelry, and also less likely to cause a skin reaction. However, we agree that it is very important to consider any metal allergies when making jewelry for a friend or loved one. Thanks for your comment! - Editors of AllFreeJewelryMaking

Oh my gosh this dainty anklet could not be any easier. It will only take as long as it takes you to add the piece on the chain and close a jump ring. Just uses some chain and a lobster claw and a charm of your choice and that is it. I told you it was easy. Now a bracelet to match would finish your look. Make some for gifts too.
