This pattern is super simple and a great way to introduce yourself to working with seed beads. I made this necklace using red seed beads for a bold statement piece.

It doesn't get any easier than this. I showed it to a friend and she said it looked complicated. So I asked if she could thread beads on thread, and she said sure. Then I asked if she has ever braided her daughters hair. Of course. Well guess what? You have all the talent needed to make one of these. And you can always make a multiple color one too!

The braiding on this necklace gives it a great and interesting detail. I don't have a lot if experience with jewelry making, but this is a good easy pattern and I think that I will be able to do this. This would be a good seller at a craft fair.

This is a fabulous DIY necklace. I definitely want to try it with different color beads. Maybe periwinkle?

Love this. It goes with every outfit, too!

I made a braided bracelet using seedbeads and 9 ropes but I didn't know how to close the end off. Thanks to your video I now can finish it off, then I will make your necklace which is very pretty. Thanks again.

I used tourquiose , black and pearls. I have also used bead cones.

I think I'm going to try this one with some bronze AB and some copper chain

Has anyone made this necklace? Did you use all the same color beads or did you use a variety of colors? I'm curious how a multi-colored version of this would look! --Editor of AllFreeJewelryMaking

editorKS I did make it, I used a coral 6o Czech beads, but I think different colors would be great, you got me thinking of a red, white and blue!

What size seed beads did you use for this necklace?

Hm, the tutorial doesn't specify the size of seed beads, donnagabor 7354429. I'd recommend contacting the project designer via her blog. Good luck!

donnagabor I made it with 6o's Czech beads, but you could use Japanese beads also.

I'm having the same trouble a windangel.

I must be missing . For the life of me I cannot find the instructions to this pattern on this page. It says click here for jewelry project I click it brings me back to the original page. Help what am I doing wrong? Victoria

Hi, windangel 7262645. Hmm, I'm not sure why that's happening! The link is working fine for me. Do you have pop-ups blocked? A new window should open when you click on the link. See if you have an option to allow pop-ups for this site. I might also suggest updating your Internet browsing software if you haven't in a while. You may be working from an outdated version. Hope this helps! --Editor of AllFreeBeadedJewelry
