I am not familiar with african heishi beads. I am not sure about what they are made from, but they look very similar to a disc bead. The instructions for this necklace come with a great photo step by step tutorial the walk you through it and explaining how to make this in a very thorough manner.

This is another project I will add to my group of jewelry making friends.its easy, not expensive and yet pretty. And it will teach them how to end necklaces. It's something they can reference when I am not around. It's such a wonderfully written pattern. Thank you for sharing it.

This is another very easy necklace to make and shows some different techniques for the ends like end caps and seed beads which I have never done but now I know how to do. Such a simple necklace but so cute and I love the beads. A great project for the kids to make with their friends or even a summer camp. Easy tutorial.
