What a great idea the blogger had by making these necklaces to send to the teacher and kids of Ecuador. They are so unique and you can use different beads and gemstones to make each one different and special. They use embrodery floss instead of chain and have a pouch that the stone goes in so looks a lot like macrame and gives it that bohemian look. They are so easy and fast to make that you can make many at the same time. Anyone can make these. The tutorial is so easy to understand. Great project for kids and family member to do together too.

Great idea. I too have many undrilled Gemstones that I can use. They are so pretty that I hated to drill into them.this solves that problem. And accord is a lot cheaper than chain so I can afford to have the grand kids make one for them Selves. Thanks For Sharing!

I love these gemstone macrame pouch pendants! The pattern is well written and looks so lovely. I have a lot of polished gem stones that I've been looking for something to do with, and I've found it! I'm thinking of using smaller beads on top. These looks so much easier then the wire wrap stones I've seen. Looking forward to getting started.. Thank you so much for the free pattern..
