I first started into wire wrapping stones by following one of these tutorials. I never thought I could do it but after my fourth attempt I was off and running. That was years ago and I have made over a hundred since that time. The big thing is, no not get frustrated and give up. If you get to a rough spot, put it down,do something else and then come back to it.
