Materials:

  • Soft Flex® Extreme 925 wire in .024 diameter - 18" of wire
  • 26 gauge black Soft Flex® Craft Wire - 1 spool
  • 26 gauge non-tarnish silver plated Soft Flex® Craft Wire - 1 spool
  • Sterling silver hook and eye clasp - 1 clasp set
  • 3mm x 3mm sterling silver seamless crimp tubes - 2 crimps
  • Turquoise size 8° seed beads - 18 seed beads
  • Red size 8° seed beads - 16 seed beads
  • Silver size 8° seed beads - 16 seed beads

Confetti Necklace


Instructions:

  1. Use 20" of non-tarnish silver plated Soft Flex® Craft Wire to string 1 turquoise seed bead to the center of the wire. Use both ends of wire to twist for about 1/8".
     
  2. Use 1 end of the wire to string 1 red seed bead. Bend the wire around the bead and twist the bead a few times so that the wire twists around itself (around the bead). Use both ends of wire to twist for about 1/8".
     
  3. Repeat Step 2 using 1 silver seed beads. Repeat Step 2 using 1 turquoise seed bead.
     
  4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 three times, omitting the final turquoise seed bead. Set aside.
     
  5. Use 20" of black wire to string 1 red seed bead to the center of the wire. Use both ends of wire to twist for about 1/8".
     
  6. Repeat Step 2 using 1 silver seed bead. Repeat Step 2 using 1 turquoise seed bead. Repeat Step 2 using 1 red seed bead.
     
  7. Repeat Step 6 three times, omitting the final red seed bead. Set aside.
     
  8. Repeat Steps 5 to 7 for a second piece using black wire.
     
  9. Use 20" of non-tarnish silver plated wire to string 1 silver seed bead to the center of the wire. Use both ends of wire to twist for about 1/8".
     
  10. Repeat Step 2 using 1 turquoise seed bead. Repeat Step 2 using 1 red seed bead. Repeat Step 2 using 1 silver seed bead. Repeat Step 2 using 1 turquoise seed bead. Repeat Step 2 using 1 red seed bead. Set aside.
     
  11. Repeat Steps 9 and 10 for a second piece using silver wire.
     
  12. Hold all five twisted pieces together about 1/4" from the last seed bead twisted into each piece. Twist all ten wire ends together. Use the twisted wire to from a wire wrapped loop. Set pendant aside.
     
  13. Use black Soft Flex® Craft Wire and the larger of the two Twist N Curls in the Mini Set to make a coil 4" long. Cut the coil into four 3/4" pieces and two 1/2" pieces. Use your fingers to gently spread apart the coil pieces.
     
  14. Use the Soft Flex® Extreme 925 wire to string 1 crimp tube and one half of the clasp. Pass back through the tube and crimp.
     
  15. String 1 turquoise seed bead, one 3/4" coil, 1 red seed bead, one 1/2" coil, 1 silver seed bead, one 3/4" coil, and 1 turquoise seed bead.
     
  16. String the pendant. Repeat Step 15, reversing the stringing sequence. String 1 crimp tube and the other half of the clasp. Pass back through the tube and crimp.
