From the blogger: "At the recent Screen Actor's Guild Awards, actress Octavia Spencer wore some stunning earrings. Her black gown was the perfect backdrop for the long turquoise drop earrings that she wore so well. This tutorial will show you an inexpensive design that includes elements of the star's fabulous jewels. These earrings are made with wrapped black wire and polymer clay. The blue/green pearlized look is achieved with mica powder. The total design is anchored by a shiny pillow bead in the bottom center. Make a pair for yourself and you'll know how to answer when someone asks, 'Who are you wearing?""

This caught my eye since Octavia is one of my favs! I love the use of mica and polymer clay for this project! That medium is so versatile and really can give the look of a much more expensive medium like cloisonn enamel glass without the cost and hunt for the perfect color. These earrings would, look stunning for casual, wear as well as a dress up occasion. Great idea and instructions! Thanks for sharing!
