Materials List

  • wax cord 1 mm thick or thinner (if you use thinner cord, just use more strands per earring)
  • large seed beads (32 transparent and 64 in black)
  • 2 beadcaps in pointed form
  • 2 head pins
  • 2 earring hooks

Instructions

  1. Cut eight pieces of 15 cm from the wax cord. For each earring you need four strands.

  2. Make a simple knot at one end of the strand.

  3. Thread two transparent seed beads, 8 black seed beads and another two transparent seed beads on the strand.

  4. Make a knot on the other side of the strand. Fold the cord in two and arrange the beads so you have two transparent an four black seed beads on each side.

  5. Prepare the other seven strands in the same way.

  6. Put four strands in the eye of one head pin.

  7. Thread the bead cap and one black seed bead on the pin.

  8. Cut the pin, make a loop and hang an earring hook on it.

  9. Do this one more time for the other earring. Now both earrings are ready!

So cute, easy and inexpensive to make. What more could you want? I read the directions and a pair should come together in an hour. That means more gifts for my family and friends this christmas. I always ask my grand kids to check to see if their teaches have pierced ears. I like to make gifts for them. Thank you for sharing.
