  • 6mm Red Faceted Glass Beads
  • 6mm Blue Faceted Glass Beads
  • 3mm Gold Bead Spacers
  • 0.38mm Tiger Wire
  • Jump Rings

  • Scissors

Instructions

Bead a clover pattern

  1. Gather your materials.

  2. Snip off a piece of 0.38mm tiger wire (about 50cm), thread it through 5 3mm gold bead spacers and a 6mm red faceted glass bead.

  3. Thread the left wire through the red glass bead and tighten.

  4. Slide a red glass bead and 5 gold spacers to the right wire.

  5. Then thread the wire through red glass bead you just slide.

  6. Repeat this procedure and make 2 more patterns, and it finally ends up in a clover pattern.

Add cross patterns

  1. Slide 4 gold spacers, a 6mm blue faceted glass bead, a gold spacer and a blue glass bead in sequence to the right wire.

  2. Then thread the wire through the 3rd and 4th gold spacer that you just added.

  3. Thread the wire through another gold spacer and then through the first gold spacer bead on the string and tighten. Thread the other wire through the gold spacers to the next stop as shown.

  4. Then thread 4 gold spacers, a blue glass bead, a gold spacer and a blue glass bead again. Then repeat the steps in above procedures to make the rest cross patterns.

Add blue glass bead fringe ornaments

  1. Thread the wire through the beads to the 2nd gold spacer on the cross pattern, then add a blue glass bead on the wire.

  2. Thread the wire through the top gold spacer on the next clover pattern.

  3. Add a blue glass bead again and tighten.

  4. Thread the wire through the 2nd gold spacer on the next cross pattern.

  5. Then add a blue glass bead and tighten.

  6. Repeat above procedures to add rest blue glass bead ornament in sequence.

  7. Trim off the extra wires.

Finish the glass beaded cross earrings

  1. Lay cross pattern flat. Find gold spacer bead at top of cross pattern.

  2. Attach a jump ring by threading it through the gold spacer on the top, then hook a silver earring hook with a plier.

  3. Repeat the whole process to make the other earring to make a set.

  4. Complete earring set.

Oh my, how very pretty and easy. The only difference is I will use thread and seed beads. I just experimented and it worked just great. I can think of so many color combinations to use. These will come in handy for more than earrings.mif done with seed beAds and attached to the end of a wide ribbon they would make beautiful book marks.

These beaded cross earrings are absolutely stunning! I would love to make them with shades of silver and purple.
